A note on translated works:
Many of these articles are translated from Farsi to English by native Farsi speakers. Therefore, the diction and grammar does not always follow common speech patterns or academic literature standards, though the translators have attempted to convey the core meaning. These articles were also translated in haste to gain global amnesty support for Dr. Taheri. IEHCF is consistently striving to translate and/or retranslate both articles and books. We thank you for your patience. Please get in touch with us if you desire clarification regarding any materials presented on this website.
A note on cultural context:
Dr. Taheri was born, raised, and continued to live and teach Interuniversalism classes in Iran, which in 1979 came under the power of an Islamic fundamentalist government. Since then, Iran has become known (according to Amnesty International) as the world's top third country for execution of its own citizens. These executions have been ordered largely upon exaggerated charges related to anti-governmental activities (including participating in protests and holding gatherings), to choices in personal appearance that are considered anti-Islamic. It was within these sociopolitical conditions that Dr. Taheri was actively teaching, publishing written material, and giving therapeutic treatments based on the non-denominational principles of Interuniversalism, with official support from the Iranian government. This was accomplished by Dr. Taheri including examples from the Qu'ran alongside examples from Sufi mystic poetry, quantum physics (etc.) to illustrate his concepts. The curious Western reader will consider these points when exploring both Taheri's written material, and the testimony of his students and patients from the Middle East. While Interuniversalism can be labeled as a spiritual philosophy based upon its examination of the non-material and the unknown, the results of its pragmatic application are repeatable, and will be known as a scientific and medical (as well as philosophical) innovation in years to come.
